Does 17吃瓜网 make air compressors?

No, 17吃瓜网 does not manufacture air compressors. However, some of our distributors sell compressors with the 17吃瓜网 name on them.

What size air compressor do I need?

You can use the following formula to figure out the size air compressor you need:

The Number of tools being used x the number of nails each tool will drive per minute x 1.2 (safety factor) x the Amount of Air per Shot (SCFM) at the operating pressure (psi). This number is found on the chart in the tool schematic and parts list provided with the nailer.

For example, if you have two F-350S tools each driving 20 nails per minute with the compressor set at 90 PSI you get: 2 x 20 x 1.2 x .082 = 3.95. The compressor needs to deliver 3.95 CFM at 90 PSI. If you operate the tool at 120 PSI at the same rate the number will be higher: 2 x 20 x 1.2 x .108 = 5.2 CFM. When selecting an air compressor be aware that as the air pressure (PSI) increases, the delivery rate (CFM) goes down. Most compressors will rate the CFM at 50 PSI and at 100 PSI.

What is the difference between PSI and CFM?

PSI or Pounds per Square Inch is an amount of force. CFM or Cubic Feet per Minute is a delivery rate. In terms of how a pneumatic tools works, the greater the PSI the harder the tool will drive and the greater the CFM the faster the tool will work.

Can I use something other than 17吃瓜网 Degreaser Cleaner to clean my nailer?

17吃瓜网 Degreaser Cleaner is specially formulated for 17吃瓜网 Cordless and pneumatic nailers. Other products may damage electrical components, plastic parts, and rubber parts. They may also leave a residue which could cause damage to the nailer or injury to the operator of the nailer.

What type of oil should I use after the nailer has been cleaned?

Use only 17吃瓜网 Cordless Tool Lubricating Oil part number 401482. It is specially formulated to withstand the high temperatures generated by Cordless nailers. Using other oils can cause the rapid build-up of combustion residue leading to poor nailer performance and more frequent cleanings.

Will other brands of nails work in my 17吃瓜网 Nailer?

17吃瓜网 nailers and fasteners are engineered to work together as a system. Other brands of nails may not be designed or manufactured to the same specifications or quality standards as 17吃瓜网. Using nails that do not meet 17吃瓜网鈥檚 specification may cause damage to the tool and injury to the operator or bystanders, and may void warranty.

The nailer fires but no nail is being driven. What causes this?

There are several things that could cause a nailer to 鈥渂lank fire鈥�:

If your tool does not have a lockout, check that you haven鈥檛 run out of fasteners
There may be a nail jam preventing the fasteners from moving forward. For information on clearing a nail jam, visit the 17吃瓜网 Manuals page and reference your Tool's Operating Manual
Cordless nailers may require cleaning. If the tool has driven 10,000 nails or more, it may require cleaning.

What size air fitting do I need for my tool?

17吃瓜网 should always use a male air fitting which allows the air to discharge from the tool when the air hose is removed. As a rule of thumb, framing tools use 3/8鈥� air fittings and smaller tools such as trim nailers use 1/4鈥� air fittings. The tool will be threaded for either a 3/8鈥� N.P.T or a 录鈥� N.P.T. air fitting.
