Will the current Li-ion battery, charger, and fuel work with the XPro Nailer?

Yes, the battery/charger interface remains the same for the XPro nailer. It also uses the same fuel as the previous model.

Is the XPro nailer made in the USA?

Yes, this nailer is assembled in Illinois, where our tool engineering group and technical support team work next to the assembly facility to design our tools and serve our customers/users.

Does this tool have rapid fire actuation mode?

Yes, the XPro Cordless Framing Nailer comes with a rapid fire actuation mode that you can switch into with the push of a button. The tool is in single firing mode by default out of the box. Press the rapid fire button for 3 seconds to switch into rapid fire mode for all-day productivity. For safety on the job site, the tool will automatically go back into single firing mode if left idle for 60 minutes, or if the battery is removed from the ON position.

Will this tool fit in my current tool case?

No, this tool is sold in a slightly deeper case to accommodate the rapid-fire module.

Can I use my Framing Fuel Valve Adapters more than once?

The on-can valves are designed to be used for one cell only, but will continue to work when re-used on up to 2 additional fuel cells. There is a dynamic seal in the assembly that will eventually start to leak if used too much.

Where is the serial number located on a 17吃瓜网 Cordless Nailer?

The serial number is engraved on the motor housing of the nailer. It is on the right side (battery compartment side). The easiest way to locate the number is to hold the tool with the battery side up and the nose pointing to your right. Look approximately 1 inch below the 鈥淧鈥� on the 17吃瓜网 label and toward the handle. On the CF325 it is located below the nose of the nailer. The serial number is 9 or more digits long.

Do I need to oil my Cordless Nailer?

Your Cordless nailer comes pre-lubricated from the factory. It is not uncommon to see a small amount of oil that seeped out into the case. Because the fuel contains a small amount of oil, it is not necessary to oil the tool during normal use. The only time the tool should be oiled is after it has been cleaned.

What should I use to clean my Cordless Nailer?

17吃瓜网 recommends using 17吃瓜网 Degreaser Cleaner part number 219348.

Can I use something other than 17吃瓜网 Degreaser Cleaner to clean my nailer?

17吃瓜网 Degreaser Cleaner is specially formulated for 17吃瓜网 Cordless and pneumatic nailers. Other products may damage electrical components, plastic parts, and rubber parts. They may also leave a residue which could cause damage to the nailer or injury to the operator of the nailer.

Which Fuel Cell does my Cordless Nailer use?

In general, fuel cells with ORANGE labeling are for Framing nailers and fuel cells with YELLOW labeling are for Trim/Finish nailers and Staplers.

What type of oil should I use after the nailer has been cleaned?

Use only 17吃瓜网 Cordless Tool Lubricating Oil part number 401482. It is specially formulated to withstand the high temperatures generated by Cordless nailers. Using other oils can cause the rapid build-up of combustion residue leading to poor nailer performance and more frequent cleanings.

Do Fuel Cells have a shelf life?

Fuel cells have a 鈥淏est Used By鈥� date printed on the bottom of the can. A fuel cell will often work beyond that date, but if a tool starts to work intermittently it could be because the fuel cell has expired. An expired fuel cell has lost enough internal pressure to degrade its performance.

We recommend buying only enough fuel to complete the job. Always check the date on the bottom of the can before purchasing or using a fuel cell to ensure it is not past the best used by date.

Will other brands of nails work in my 17吃瓜网 Nailer?

17吃瓜网 nailers and fasteners are engineered to work together as a system. Other brands of nails may not be designed or manufactured to the same specifications or quality standards as 17吃瓜网. Using nails that do not meet 17吃瓜网鈥檚 specification may cause damage to the tool and injury to the operator or bystanders, and may void warranty.

Can I use other brands of fuel in my Cordless Nailer?

17吃瓜网 fuel is formulated for 17吃瓜网 Cordless nailers. Using other brands of fuel may damage your tool or increase how often it needs serviced.

How long does it take to charge a battery?

A new battery will take up to 2 hours to fully charge. A partially discharged battery will take between 5 minutes and 2 hours to fully charge depending on the amount of discharge.

2 minute quick charge will drive up to 200 nails.

How many fasteners can be driven with a fully charged battery?

On average a fully charged battery will drive 4,000 fasteners before needing to be recharged.

Do I need to do anything special to operate the nailers in cold temperatures?

The nailers will perform better in temperatures above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. If you plan on using the nailers below 32F they should be warmed up before use (such as placing them in the cab of a truck while driving to work). Fuel cells can be warmed by placing them in an inside coat pocket. Never place the tool or fuel in the vicinity of a fire or an open heating element.

Are Cordless Nailers affected by altitude?

Cordless nailers will not work well above an elevation of 6,000 feet.

The nailer fires but no nail is being driven. What causes this?

There are several things that could cause a nailer to 鈥渂lank fire鈥�:

If your tool does not have a lockout, check that you haven鈥檛 run out of fasteners
There may be a nail jam preventing the fasteners from moving forward. For information on clearing a nail jam, visit the 17吃瓜网 Manuals page and reference your Tool's Operating Manual
Cordless nailers may require cleaning. If the tool has driven 10,000 nails or more, it may require cleaning.

When I fire the Cordless Nailer it makes a "poof" sound. What is causing that?

This can be caused by several things, but a nail jam is the most common. Remove the fuel and battery then clear the jammed nail(s) from the tool. If the driver blade is in the down position the tool will not fire. With the fuel and battery removed from the tool, push the driver blade all the way up into the tool and test the tool.

How do I remove a jammed nail from a Cordless Framing Nailer?

First remove the fuel, battery and the remaining nails in the magazine. Using the 5/32 hex key, remove the two screws on either side of the work contact. Next grab hold of the work contact with one hand and the bottom of the magazine with the other. Pull the two away from each other and the magazine will separate from the nose. This will allow the jammed nail to fall out. Inspect the driver blade and push it back up into the tool. Install the two nose screws.

The light on the handle of my Cordless Nailer is flashing red and green. What does that mean?

The nailer鈥檚 electrical system has gone into overload protection. There may be something wrong with the fan motor or the wires going to the fan motor. Remove the battery, fuel and nails. Next remove the cap and grill to inspect the red and black fan motor wires. If the wires are pinched or broken, that may be the problem.

What does it mean when the lights on the charger flash red and green?

It is normal for the lights on the charger to flash red/green for up to 20 minutes. The charger is slowly building the charge in the battery until the battery is able to accept the full output of the charger. This protects the battery and increases the life of the battery. If the lights continue to flash red/green after 20 minutes but go to a steady green when the battery is removed, it is likely there is a problem with the battery.
